Visitors
August 20, 2006
My friend Jessica and her b-friend Sean came out to our side of town. Sean was visiting her from New York and had never been to the “D”. We took them to Hamtramck Disneyland and then around Detroit eventually settling into dinner at Traffic Jam. We were going to eat at Slow’s, but as usual, there was an extensive waiting period of over an hour. “Umm…no thanks!”

Aren’t they cute? Anyone out there a fan of that Queer Eye for the Straight Guy show? Well……Sean just happens to be one of the guys the fab five made over back in 2004. Don’t ask me the details, cause I never really watch the show. It sure was fun hearing a little bit about the fab five though.
Sure wish they would come and give me a makeover. Lord knows I need one. Whew!
Date 2…..I meet Hayden
June 23, 2006
Autumn and I had our second “date” together tonight. We took Hayden to the park. On the way home I pushed him in his stroller. Autumn and I’s relationship is moving awfully fast as you can see. So on Autumn and I’s next date I’m thinking Hayden might actually let me pick him up (despite the fact that he is perfectly capable of walking). He gave me a lot of shy smiles today so I’m expecting him to just put his arms out for me. Perhaps that is wishful thinking? ![]()
The boy is SUPER adorable. Biggest smile in the world and he has the most beautiful eyes I’ve seen on a kid this side of Texas. He’s certainly going to be a heartbreaker one day.
That’s it! I’m totally changing the name of my blog to Everything about Hayden.
Heat, Dustbunnies, and Visitors
June 17, 2006

Errr…..it’s suppose to get REALLY HOT this weekend. I am bummed. I planned on doing some house cleaning tomorrow *YAWN*. I had hoped to Clean so hard that I would start sweating to the point of burning off a gazillion calories, but looks like the only sweating I might be doing will be the cause of extreme heat. Which means I may be sitting on the couch THINKING about cleaning while a fan blows hot air on me.
See, the thing is.. our house is a complete BOMB SITE. I’m talking a dirt bomb went off and sent pregnant dust bunnies everywhere. Since the initial bomb, the bunnies have given birth to gaziplets. GAZIPLETS! Can you even believe it? I know…I didn’t think it was possible either. *hmm…perhaps a new word to add to the Lexicon* Anyway, back to the story about the bomb. It went off…there are dust baby bunnies (and some of their friends) everywhere and we just need to do some serious cleaning. Especially *gulp* since my friends are going to be stepping foot in our house soon. Autumn, you will get your tour on our second date:) Okay sugar booger? Just put the special glasses on that Jeff and I give our new visitors. They umm….help you see nothing..I mean.. see…the…. vision! Yeah. That’s what they do. Some people complain they see smudges, but I assure you, there are no smudges on the special glasses we provide. Usually that has more to do with the person having smudges on their eyeballs. If you do by chance see smudges, you should definitely find the nearest exit and NOT take off your glasses till you are outside of our house.
Hee hee
Seriosuly. Remember…urban camping meets liveable art. That will prepare those of you who have not yet seen our humble abode but who have heard about it through the grapevine.
Jeff’s house is legend. One day there will be a tell all book. Or documentary. Or website. Whatever.
Soon we may just start charging for tours. Sorry no cameras allowed!
I tried to be festive

I found this at a thrift store in Alabama last year. It was perfect for the strawberry fest. I wanted to wear my strawberry socks and bring my strawberry wallet, but Specs thought it would be overkill.
