Hello..is this Ms. Sarah (insert last name here)?

Okay, since when do we get Telemarketers calling for us at work (at our work number)? I just had Comcast call me to offer me their telephone service. Yeah. Let’s add another $60 on top of the already overpriced amount of money you charge me for cable and internet access. I was so freaked out. All I managed to say was “Umm,…I’m at work. *awkward silence* You’re calling me at my job.”
I thought he would respond in shock that he made such a mistake and it would reflect in his voice, but he calmy said “Sorry” like it was no big deal. As if they do it all the time.
Did I mention I hate telemarketers worse than talking on the phone?
Umm…yeah. I really do.
Thoughts not related to my homework
February 4, 2007
It’s Superbowl Sunday and I am sitting in a Royal Oak coffee shop doing one of my weekly case studies for my Library Administration and Management class. Random thoughts coming to mind:
“Man, my head hurts. Must be from all from all this coffee I’m drinking. I’m going to be so screwed when I try and go to sleep tonight. Melatonin here I come.”
“Awww a baby is crying. I sure miss nannying.”
“This Mexican music playing in the background is making me want a margarita. Too bad I don’t have a cell phone to call a friend to join me for one.”
“Jeez, why do we have to do these stupid case studies every week? I see real life case studies at work.”
“I hope we get a snowstorm.”
“I hope my windshield-washer fluid starts working again before we get a lot of snow.”
“I wish the creepy guy to my right would stop looking at me.”
“I’d rather be holding that crying baby right now.”
*UDATE*
After leaving Royal Oak tonight I was still in random thought mode:
“Man, when is this heat gonna kick in my feet are fa-reezing!?”
“Hmm…what is the best route to take to get to Ann Arbor from work tomorrow night?”
“Did I miss the halftime show? Maybe Prince is exposing his breast right this second.”
“My head is killing me. Maybe I should add a first aid kit to my car and make sure it has aspirin.”
“What if my car breaks down in this freezing cold weather. I don’t have a cell phone and there is noone around because they are all watching the superbowl.”
“Wait a minute. Shouldn’t I be home by now?!”
Snaps back to reality and reads nearest exit sign. Groesbeck Highway next exit. “What?! Where the hell am I?! I don’t remember there being a Groesbeck Highway off I-75! Wait a minute. I think I forgot to get on I-75 S. Now I’m really gonna miss Prince’s boob. DARNIT!”
Turns around.
My route. I forgot to mark I-75 (the route I should have taken). It is the wide vertical orange line before the first 696 on the map.

I made it back home in time to watch the last half of Prince’s performance.
No Prince boobage
Compatibility Issues
February 3, 2007
A couple people have told me that there are some issues with my new design based on which browser they are viewing my site in (typical). Apparently the Frecs and Specs font color is brown until clicked on or hovered over, etc. Thus far, I have determined my blog looks best if viewed in Firefox and Safari (depending on which version you have) and most all Linux broswers. If you are using Explorer, it looks like the site is extra lame (in some cases). Sorry about that. Apparently there is a well known issue with this theme and IE. Whatever. I seem to always have browser issues and I doubt this issue will end anytime soon with standards still being ironed out, etc.
Please bear with me as I try to fix some of these issues. In the meantime, please feel free to comment below and fill me in on any other issues I may not be aware of at this point.
If it looks bad to most, I may switch themes……again:( Despite the fact that I like this one. It views fine in both my versions of Safari (Version 2.0.4) AND Firefox (Version 1.5.0.9).
*Update* After using this site to test my site in different browsers, I can see the Frecs and Specs font color is brown in a lot of browsers. * Guess I’ll try to fix the color when I have a moment. Perhaps when the clock does not display midnight, as it does now.
