Ohh Sebadoh

One of those bands that just brings me back. I’d obsessively listen to them again and again in high school. I saw them back in 98 but they had changed quite a bit by then (as most bands do). I much preferred their earlier lo-fi stuff. Here are what I remember them as in my High School days. Except “On Fire.” That came out when I was a freshman in college. Harmacy. Not one of my favorite albums, but certainly not one of the worst. There were a handful of great songs on the album…in particular I liked the lyrics.
*beating heart be still*
@Jeff- the attic shots in the Skull video reminds me of how our upstairs used to look at the Hamtramck house. Ha! Also, I wish I was home so I could post some pics of you with your longer hair. You looked just like Lou Barlow back in your college days. *pch!*

This is the Sebadoh I know and love. This was when they were only a two piece – Eric and Lou.
Earliest show for me was 1992-3 seeing them as a three piece. Their live shows when Eric was in the band were great. Lots more experimenting and lo-fi goodness…thanks for getting me on YouTube and wasting an hour of my time obssessing on all things Sebadoh. Good times.
I actually was listening to some Sebadoh today (on that “Personal Space” comp I made for you on our first Christmas).
I love all the early stuff as well. I started with Sebadoh III and went backwards. Weed Forestin has to be my all time favorite / most influential album (and the beginnings of Sentridoh)…I think I’m going to stop writing about this now, seeing that you know this already…anybody else?
And the attic in the video does remind me of our attic – only a little bigger, and lacking four skylights and a nice, new awning window (:
